Connect with our Institute for Preventive Health

Welcome to our monthly online lunch lectures Lunch, Learn & Connect. Every 2nd Thursday of the month at 12.30 – 13.15 hrs.

Are you a teacher, researcher, student or in any other way interested in our collaboration? Every month one of our working groups will organise a meeting about research and education of the alliance. You are very welcome to join us online.

Institute for Preventive Health

Want to learn more about the ambitions of the Institute 4 Preventive Health (I4PH)? For example, how do they improve the understanding of health equity in today’s society? And how can we design cities that promote a healthy city and healthy inhabitants? Join the Lunch & Learn session on April 14th!

Programme

  • Martine van der Mast, Programme Director of the I4PH, will shortly explain more about the Alliance TU/e, WUR, UU and UMC Utrecht and the aim of I4PH.
  • Indre Kalinauskaite of TU/e, Strategic Coordinator & post-doctoral researcher, will give a presentation about the Vitality Academy, an initiative of the 4 Alliance institutes. Their mission: to initiate and realize transdisciplinary research and education in order to better understand how to achieve health equity in today’s society.
  • The final presentation will be by professor Roel Vermeulen (UU) introducing the Data- and Knowledge Hub on Healthy Urban Living and the AI Lab on Healthy Living. The urban environment can influence public health in many different ways and Roel will explain how we can design cities that promote the health of the city and its inhabitants.
  • Last but not least: a Pressure Cooker in May/June will be announced to jointly develop a proposal for a subsidy call with seed money from the Alliance I4PH programme.
