14:00 – 14:15 | Impact Dialogue 1 – Preventive Health Theme: “Challenging Conventions: Unconventional Ways of Doing Research for Societal Relevance” Traditional research methods don’t always capture the full complexity of real-world challenges. So—what happens when you turn the system inside out and involve citizens from the very beginning? In this thought-provoking session, we explore how unconventional approaches in preventive health research can lead to greater societal relevance. Expect insights on: – How citizen panels and advisory boards shape more responsive and inclusive research – What it means to bend the rules of the system to better support vulnerable groups – The power of truly transdisciplinary collaboration to address health inequalities On stage: a junior researcher, a senior researcher, and a citizen panel member—each sharing their unique experience of breaking traditional boundaries for greater impact. |
14:15 – 15:00 | Marketplace |
15:00 – 15:20 | Launch of the National Expertise Centre on TRansdisciplinarity – Be part of a historic moment as we launch this collaborative initiative bringing together EWUU Education, TNO, Drift, KIN, NWO, Rathenau, Athena VU, Het Groene Brein, RVO, TU Delft, and the Convergence Alliance. |
15:20 – 15:35 | Impact Dialogue 2 – Circular Society Theme: “Reimagining Perspectives: The Circular Hospital of the Future” How can we shift from a linear to a circular healthcare system? This session explores how social design and interdisciplinary collaboration challenge habits and foster circular thinking in healthcare. Highlights include: – A social design installation by Joes Janmaat (Studio Sociaal Centraal) and Karin Gerritsen (UMC Utrecht), focusing on dialysis innovation. – Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) students designing interventions to provoke new ways of thinking about circular care. Join the conversation on how social design can drive systemic change in collaboration with science. |
15:35 – 15:45 | Impact Award Ceremony |
15:45 – 16:00 | Impact Dialogue 3 – AI for Social Impact How can AI help us understand and improve eating behavior? Join Dr. Guido Camps (Wageningen University & Research, EWUU Artificial Intelligence Steering Group) as he shares how AI-powered sensors can offer surprising insights into real-world eating behavior. In a unique live restaurant experiment, AI was used to track how different environmental and psychological factors shape what—and how—we eat. This session goes beyond theory: you’ll get a taste of the experiment yourself. Discover how AI can drive healthier eating habits, inform sustainable food choices, and contribute to real social impact. |
16:00 – 17:00 | Closing remarks + Marketplace |
