You are invited to join us for our online Lunch & Learn Lecture. Are you a teacher, researcher, student or in any other way interested in our collaboration? Every month one of our programmes organises a meeting about research and education of the EWUU alliance. The best part? You can join effortlessly from the comfort of your own space – simply tune in via Teams, grab your lunch, and immerse yourself in thought-provoking discussions.
This Lunch & Learn Lecture is organised by the EWUU Institute for Preventive Health.

How do you make your research more relevant for your target group, and how do you put that into practice? That is the central question of this Lunch & Learn in which researchers from the Minding the Gap project show how they bridged the gap between science and practice through co-creative methods.
Minding the Gap works directly with adolescents, parents, and professionals rather than treating them as research subjects. Isabel Koopmanschap (PhD candidate, Utrecht University) focuses on meaningful participation of young people. Naomi de Pooter (PhD candidate, Utrecht University) works on an approach to improve the mental health of adolescents. Evelyn Vlasman (project lead and researcher, Trimbos Institute) brings extensive experience in participatory action research and co-creation.
Together they will guide you through their approach, from action research with young people to dilemma sessions with professionals. They share which methods worked, which did not, and the lessons they learned along the way. The session closes with a Q&A, leaving room for questions and exchange.
