Eindhoven University of Technology, Wageningen University & Research, Utrecht University and University Medical Centre Utrecht together cover a broad range of fields in scientific research. By cooperating and bringing together different areas of expertise, the four partners enhance the joint impact of their research. The focus in the cooperation is on the social challenges in the fields of health, energy, food and sustainability.

Research themes
Important themes in the partnership are Preventive Health and Circular Society. In 2020, a number of research programmes were started in the field of Living Technologies and Artificial Intelligence for Health. In addition the Centre for Unusual Collaborations was set up. The four partners’ Young Academies join forces in this centre, creating unusual cross-connections between disciplines. The Impact working group helps the alliance connect the research with society by involving external partners and aiming for results that have an impact on society.
