Are you a teacher or researcher who wants to know more about or explore teaching professional learners? Within EWUU Education, a MOOC is being developed on Lifelong Learning (LLL) and Education for Professionals. At this moment we are looking for participants to pilot the module.

Teaching professional learners

The initiative responds to the growing need to better equip teachers and researchers for teaching professional learners. This type of education requires a different approach compared to regular academic programmes: participants are often highly motivated, bring substantial practical experience, and expect immediately applicable insights. At the same time, many teachers have limited experience or confidence in designing and delivering this type of education. The module therefore offers an accessible first step to become familiar with Education for Professionals and to develop practical teaching perspectives.

The MOOC

The module is primarily aimed at teachers and researchers from the EWUU institutions who have limited experience with LLL but are interested in exploring this field. It provides a basic understanding of what LLL is and why it is relevant, as well as insight into the roles and stakeholders involved within and beyond the institution. It will show the key developments in the field and foundational didactic principles for teaching professional learners. This is combined with a practical assignment in which participants adapt an existing course into an LLL context within their own practice. The module is fully self-paced and serves as a first step towards further professional development in Education for Professionals.

The ambition is to launch a pilot in autumn 2026.
At this moment we are looking for participants to pilot the module, so if you are interested, or know someone who could be interested, please reach out to us!
