Your campus, your voice

What would make your campus a healthier place to study or work? More healthy food options, better sports facilities or more spaces to relax and connect with others? The EWUU Healthy Campus Challenge invites students and staff to share their ideas and help shape the future of campus wellbeing.

Building healthier campuses together

The challenge is part of the Healthy Campus Project, a collaborative initiative within EWUU by the EWUU institute 4 Preventive Health. The project aims to identify opportunities to create healthier, more inclusive and sustainable campus environments across the participating institutions.

To do so, the project combines an institutional assessment with direct input from students and staff. Your ideas will help identify strengths, gaps and opportunities for future improvements.

Share your idea in five minutes

Through the Digital Wish Wall, participants can submit one concrete idea under the theme “Healthy Campus Improvements I Wish For.” Suggestions can focus on nutrition, physical activity, mental health or social wellbeing.

The more specific the idea, the greater the chance that it can inspire meaningful action. A valid submission consists of one concrete improvement or identified gap, together with a brief explanation of why it matters.

To participate, first complete the registration form. After submitting the form, you will automatically be directed to the appropriate Padlet challenge for your institution.

Contributing to future Healthy Campus initiatives

All ideas will be analysed alongside an assessment based on the internationally recognised FISU Healthy Campus framework. Together, these insights will contribute to:

  • A comparison of Healthy Campus practices across the participating universities;
  • Recommendations for future Healthy Campus policies and initiatives;
  • A roadmap for future student-led challenges and collaboration within the EWUU alliance.

The project is carried out by ACT students from Wageningen University & Research as part of a consultancy assignment commissioned by EWUU.

Win great prizes

Taking part takes only five minutes and gives participants the chance to win:

  • 3 × one year of free access to sports facilities (one prize per university);
  • 6 × €20 VVV Gift Cards (two prizes per university).

The challenge is open until 17 June 2026 and is available to students and staff from Wageningen University & Research, Utrecht University, UMC Utrecht and Eindhoven University of Technology.

Share your idea and help create a healthier campus for everyone.
