Join the EWUU Ideation Lab Pilot, a practical innovation program where teams of students from different fields work together on real challenges in sustainability, the energy transition, preventative health, and circular society, provided by EWUU researchers.
What’s the EWUU Ideation Lab Pilot?
The Ideation Lab is a short, dynamic program that connects motivated students with real research challenges from EWUU universities. You’ll work in small, mixed teams to create new ideas and solutions, supported by coaches and experts.

Over a 4-month journey, you will: Receive expert coaching and training in entrepreneurial skills. Work hands-on to test technologies and explore market opportunities. Build your professional network in the innovation and startup world. Develop the mindset and skills to become a future-ready changemaker. Expect to spend about 10 hours per week.
What we’re looking for
✔Students who are passionate and curious about entrepreneurship and sustainability
✔ Fluent in English or Dutch
✔ Open to all Bachelor’s and Master’s programs
✔ Ready to actively participate and work in a team
The application process for joining the EWUU Ideation Lab
- Complete this form before the 31st of may 2026.
- If selected, you will take part in the Matchmaking event for students & researchers (before the 2026 summer break)
- Matching process where we aim for the best complementary combination of students and researchers.
Programme duration and information
- September 2026 is the kickoff EWUU Ideation lab. The programme runs from the first semester and ends at the beginning of February 2027.
- Regular sessions will be held on Fridays, usually in Utrecht.
Who Can Apply
Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students from TU/e, WUR, UU, and UMC Utrecht who want to innovate and collaborate.
